Blister and Bites Oh My!

Blister and Bites Oh My!
It's been an extremely "cool" winter here in South Florida but the warmer days have shown face and we will all need to get prepared.

In the land of the Sunshine State flip flops and sandals are an every day thing. So this generally means that Floridians rotate through them pretty fast. With new shoes (sandals and flip flops) that means blisters and sore feet. So lets keep it short and sweet,
3 must haves to ban bloody bandages:

  • Friction block
  • Liquid Bandage
  • Cover stick

Now for the ladies, I personally recommend the Sam and Libby sandals from Target. Each year they come out with new colors (the turquoise is my favorite who knew in Florida that would be considered a neutral). They’re only $24.99 and shockingly comfortable. As you can see, I love to stock up at the end of the season when they’re over 50% off.

Since Florida is surrounded by water, warmth and humidity the bugs are just out of control. It just started getting really warm again and I guess I just attract the mosquitos and the no-see-ums flies because my right arm has 6 bites and I have some kind of an allergy because I swell up. It is a must to protect your self from more then the sun.

3 must haves to avoid “the itch”

  • Bug spray must be at arms length at all times (I likes Taspen’s Organics – you can get it at the Delray Greenmarket)
  • Lay off the cologne and perfume
  • Wear light colored and loose fitting clothing

If all else fails, have some cortizone and benadryal on hand.
